q:What is a TIP Card and who needs it?
A TIP Card is a Temporary Instruction Permit, and before you can take the required (1) Knowledge Test in a Teen Driver Education or Adult Pre-licensing Class, (2) engage in driving skills instruction during Behind the Wheel Training, or (3) take a DMV Road Skills Test, you must obtain a Temporary Instructional Permit (TIP) from OMV as required by R.S. 32:402.1. No, you do not need a TIP card for registration or to secure your seat in an upcoming class. However, it is necessary before taking the Knowledge Skills Test, which is administered at the end of the last day of class. q:Are there any discounts or payment plans available?
a: A $25.00 sibling discount is provided to each sibling. At minimum, a non-refundable deposit is required to secure your registration. Adult Deposit is $215.00 | Teen Deposit is $262.50.

q:What age requirements must teenagers meet to acquire a driver's license in Louisiana?
a: Students may participate in the classroom instruction if they are, at a minimum, in the eighth grade and within 90 days of their 15th birthday. Students cannot participate in the behind-the-wheel training until the age of 15. (RS 32:402.1). At 16, teens can apply for an intermediate license, and at 17, they can apply for a full driver's license. Please reference Louisiana Graduated License Program for program specifics.

a: Driver's education courses typically cover topics like Louisiana traffic laws, road signs, safe driving practices, defensive driving techniques, and the responsibilities and challenges of driving.

q:What is the process for scheduling the behind-the-wheel lessons?
a: After you complete the classroom instruction and pass the DMV's Knowledge Skills Test (which is administered during the last 30 minutes of class), we will begin scheduling your Behind-the-Wheel Drives. Students or their parents can manage their behind-the-wheel lessons online using their student or parent portal. The scheduling process is based on availability, your preferred days and timeframes (you will complete availability cards used to schedule your drives), and the student's individual needs.

q:How long do I have to complete the course?
a: Our Teen Graduated License (in-class) course typically takes 4 days to complete. The 8 hour BTW portion depends on instructor and student availability.

q:What happens if I need to miss a class?
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and students may miss classes or scheduled Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) instruction. Please see our Absence and Rescheduling Policy for details. Students are responsible for completing all in-class and BTW sessions within six (6) months from the date of enrollment. Failure to complete the course within the stipulated timeframe may result in the student being required to re-enroll and pay the full fee again.

You must be 18 years or older to attend an adult class and be a Louisiana Permanent Resident. Remember, everyone needs a TIP Card to complete driver's education in Louisiana.

q:All of our vehicles are fully insured and subject to regular safety inspections, in compliance with Louisiana state regulations.

q:Our Safety measures include dual-controlled vehicles, allowing instructors to take control if necessary, and our instructors are trained to manage various situations that might arise on the road.

q:We offer various support resources for parents, including guidance on how to support their teen's driving practice, updates on their teen's progress, and information about Louisiana's Graduated Licensing Program.
