Our founders, Kym and Tiffany Wimberly, have built a legacy in education that prioritizes the individual needs of each student. This philosophy has been seamlessly carried over to ACT Qualified Driving Academy.
Here, we believe in a personalized, student-centered approach to learning, empowering our students to become responsible drivers who understand the importance of safety and courtesy on the road.
Our Teen Driver's Education Course includes 30 hours of classroom instruction and 8 hours of behind-the-wheel training to help you become a confident and responsible driver. Navigating your teen's path to driving is a big deal, and we're here to make it seamless. Starting as young as 14 & 9 months, we offer age-appropriate courses and behind-the-wheel training, progressing them from a Learner's Permit to a Full License by age 17. Trust us to provide a comprehensive driving education, complete with licensed tests right here on site—making the road to independence safer and simpler for your family. You will need to secure a Temporary Instruction Permit from the Office of Motor Vehicles (OMV) to complete our program.
OMV Required Documents
You need to apply for a Class E Temporary Instructional Permit (TIP) from the Office of Motor Vehicles before you can take the knowledge test, drive during on-road lessons with an instructor, or participate in the on-road driving skills test. Make sure you meet all other Office of Motor Vehicles identification requirements. Note that this requirement doesn't apply to those enrolled in a National Guard Youth Challenge Program or to students who started driver education before September 4, 2018.
After you finish your driver's education, you'll have to give back the TIP to the OMV, along with proof that you completed the driver's education course and any other necessary documents.
The good news is that there's no extra cost to switch from a TIP to a Learner's Permit or a Full License.

La escuela fue lo mejor, me encanto como fueron la instructora. El personal es muy amable, dedicado y se preocupa para que aprendas todo lo que neceistas. Les recomiendo al 100% esta escuela.
I had a great experience with ACT Qualified Driving Academy. I had my permit but not much experience on the road and was a very nervous driver. After signing up for their private driving hours, I became much more confident in my driving abilities and easily passed my road skills test.
